LJ transferred to AZ Compass from Phoenix South Mountain last summer due to the Phoenix Union High School District cancelling winter sports in light of the pandemic. The AZ Compass National teams play in the Canyon Athletic Association Open Division and LJ averages about 21 points a game. All of his hard work is paying off because he is getting recognition from good schools like Georgia Tech.

He trains with the National team and plays against top players on the team to help elevate his game. Ginnis has maintained a 3.8 grade-point average since leaving South Mountain and transferring to AZ Compass, if students want to play, we we make academics a priority. There are some set backs when it comes to having high school kids getting recruited due to the portal, but they will continue to work hard, stay focused and have faith.
