The pep rally on Thursday, April 11th, from 8:30 to 9:30 in the high school gym was an electrifying event that brought together students from grades 9 to 12 in a celebration of school spirit and achievement. Guided by the vibrant energy of Mrs. Wendy Cook as MC and the expert sound control of Dawn Wiggall, the rally kicked off with an amazing performance by the high school cheer team, setting the stage for an unforgettable gathering.

The rally continued with the exciting announcements of this year’s baseball team and their impressive winning streak, along with details about the upcoming game and senior night which takes place on Monday, April 22nd at 6:00pm.

Rosters for this year’s basketball teams (Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, Green, Gray, and Black; National Girls and National Boys) were announced along with their coaches and season endings.

This year’s basketball shoutout contest, skillfully hosted by Coach Mo Riddick, showcased the talents of Sammie Yeanay, Kamya Young, Moses Hipps, Amani Bonds, Coach Micah Pulliam, Coach Tim Jackson, and Athletic Director Tyler Olsen, culminating in an awe-inspiring victory by Cayden Adams, who astounded the audience with 13 consecutive shots. 

The celebration continued with a student dance-off contest, MC’d by Coach Jaz, featuring spirited performances by Kaylee Clark, Landon Leonard, Trayvon Darby, and Maureion Lakes.  Landon Leonard stole the show with his Michael Jackson inspired freestyle which led his team to victory. 

This year’s last pep rally concluded on a high note with a showcase routine by the high school cheer team, followed by full crowd participation in a student-led dance circle, symbolizing unity and camaraderie among the student body and staff.
