Student & Teacher Highlights

Each block we are highlighting students and teachers of AZ Compass who go above and beyond! Below you will read how two students and two teachers are making a difference!

Keyshaun Meneses – Keyshaun is in the 7th grade, he was welcomed this year from our Vector Prep & Arts School where he has attended since Kindergarten. He has worked very hard, always with a smile since school started. We have loved the addition of Keyshaun to the Dragon Family and look forward to having him graduate with us in just 5 more years!!! Keep up the great work Keyshaun!

Cenna Begay – Cenna, an eighth grader, is a wonderful hard working student. She is always helpful to both her peers as well as her teachers! She also can boast about her outstanding academic grades! Keep up the hard work Cenna, it will definitely pay off!!

Sreeprasad Nair – This is Mr Nair’s first year with us, however it feels like he’s been with us for years. He is such a great high school Science teacher who works one-on-one with our students to make sure they have a sure comprehension of what is being taught. You will almost never catch him sitting at his desk, as he is always up around the room helping all of his students and keeping their full attention. Have a wonderful year Mr Nair!

Anthony Wright – This year, Mr. Wright (our middle school Math teacher) stepped up to coach our Flag Football team, who did exceptional! Our student’s can always relate to Mr. Wright as he makes class interesting, fun, and up to date. They never miss a beat in math and they know that if they need help, they can always lean on Mr. Wright. Thank you for all you do!

Brandon Peoples, 9th grade – Brandon is always enthusiastic and prepared for his classes. He enjoys helping fellow classmates and playing basketball. He is well known for making everyone laugh, but is very serious about earning his good grades. Keep up the great work Brandon!

Mercedes Calvillo, 11th grade – Mercedes is super helpful and eager to learn new things daily. She always greets everyone with a warm smile and loves being a student aide to many of our teachers/office staff, even to our Vector campus. We look forward to watching you grow Mercedes!
