Amaya joins the Dragons this season coming from Long Beach, CA where she attended Orangewood Academy. During her time at Orangewood Academy, she received Player of the Year awards as well as led her team to a semifinal appearance in the Division I State Playoffs in Southern California. Amaya is 5’8 SG/SF that brings an offensive skillset that varies from outside shooting, ability to create scoring, and slashing capabilities that will be important for putting high numbers on the scoreboard this season for AZ Compass. Amaya has goals of playing basketball at the next level following her career at AZ Compass and continuing her education wherever the game leads her.
