Marquis Cook is a 6’7 SG from Portland, Oregon graduating in the class of 2023. Marquis is an ESPN 5-star recruit ranked #15 in the class committed to play in his home-state at the University of Oregon. Marquis began his grassroots career at one of the best high school basketball programs in the country – Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon. Marquis was a key part of their run to the State Championship before joining AZ Compass during his junior year. Last season with AZ Compass Prep, Marquis developed into one of the premier talents in the country, as well as led our team to victories and a Geico Nationals invitation. Marquis “Mookie” Cook brings above the rim athleticism, perimeter scoring, and valued experience against the nation’s top talents to the Dragon family. Additional awards for Marquis include being invited to the NBA Top 100 invite-only camp, as well as being a member of First Team All-State in Oregon during his freshman season. Marquis will be seen playing the role of Lebron James in the movie “Shooting Stars” set to release at an upcoming date.
